Diving at Similan Islands


The Similan Islands are a group of nine islands and several rocky islets in the Andaman Sea off the coast of Phang Nga province in the South of Thailand.
The Similan Islands and their surrounding waters are a Marine National Park and are regulated by the Department of National Parks of Thailand.
To protect the islands from over-exploitation there are rules about the opening and visiting times and the accessibility of dive sites in force. All dive operators are compelled to obey these rules, whether they like it or not.
Scuba day trips and overnight trips are allowed to run from November to May.
The National Park entrance fees are:
Adult 400 Baht for a foreigner, 80 Baht for a Thai,
Children (4 - 11 years old) 200 Baht for a foreigner,
40 Baht for a Thai
PLUS Diving fee 200 Bath per person per day.
